Wondering how much overrun noise would be normal for a Kerker 4:1 system on a zrx1200?
The pipe is pretty loud, am wondering if it would benefit from a baffle wrap? Are the silencers difficult to strip or easy?
I don't mind the overall sound of the system but find the overrun noise excessive, sounds a bit like a rally car on the overrun with the popping if you know what I mean.
How much of it is to be expected from a relatively open system?

Do you know if the ZRX has any anti pollution or fuel economy systems similar to the Honda "Pair" system that might be causing the popping?

Not that I'm aware of. Apparently the original pipes had 2 catalytic converters.
I'm just wondering whether you can expect this sort of noise on a relatively open pipe like the Kerker or whether it likely needs jetting work done - alternatively will some baffle wrap material quieten down the overrun noise???
I'm assuming there currently isn't any baffle wrap packed in there.
I don't mind the noise on throttle, just find the overrun popping a little excessive.
You know when you see rally cars rushing in to a corner really fast then suddenly slowing, it basically sounds a bit like that when you shut the throttle at speed.

Yes its the megaphone type system, suppose its intended to imitate the 80s efforts they had on gpz1100's as per Eddie Lawson in the early 80s.

Its more 'crackle' than popping, your word is a better description actually but just seems a little too intrusive to me. I'm wondering if it'd be better if I pulled the baffle out and wrapped it with some packing. No idea if there's currently anything in there.

I kind of took that! Never heard the term before that's all.
It is pleasing to the ear most of the time, I just find the overrun noise a little ott when I'm cruising around town at low speed! Its hard to keep a low profile with this exhaust that's for sure...
It does sound great on full chat accelerating hard though.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
