I'm not talking about guns or knives, but the odd empty coke bottle to chuck as a rebuke to some tit thats cut across you?

I like to keep sports cap water bottles under a cargo net on the tank and when possibly ( at lights etc) take sips.

a few years back on a hot day a couple of young lads pulled up at the lights and saw me drinking from the bottle, "Give us a drink" shouted one
As his windows were down I couldnt resist and gave him a quick squirt, they took it in good spirits and laughed Razz

I've thought about a little water pistol to spray up into the air just above the bald tit in the convertible at the lights! Twisted Evil

Get Eggs.

Eggs were designed for ride-by throwing.

I had a mate that used to use that spray silly string with his clutch hand. Timing is crucial when passing bus stops as the slipstream obviously makes the stuff go backwards. You have to press the button quite a way past the queue.

He used to say that having a reliable bike was very important, you don't want it conking out a few yards further on or you'll get the spray can inserted somewhere awful.

I did once wish I had a hammer to chuck through this guys windscreen when he tailgated then cut me up on the motorway for no reason at all (heavy traffic and he couldn't get anywhere anyway.)
Never actually thrown anything though!

I`ve never had any mates!

But I did used to keep a Super-Soaker type water pistol/gun in the van when I worked on the ground.
Many a time going passed a bus-stop full of people we would slow down and give them a blast Laughing Thumbs Up

It was amazing how many used to get really angry Laughing

Personally I've alway thought it was a better survival strategy for life if I let these things wash over me rather than escalating every single minor situation where someone has irritated me slightly into one that could cost one or other of us to lose their freedom, their life or a large amount of money.

Is your foot/hand not good enough?

Don't tend to damage cars if they cut me up etc anymore, just wind them up to the max with a massive smile on my face. Very Happy

Managed to get one guy so angry after he blocked me and started calling me a wanker for no reason he got out of his car at a roundabout with queue of cars behind him. I waited until he had walked the whole way round his car before laughing at him and riding off, must have felt like a twat having to walk all the way back around his car with everyone waiting behind him.

I once considered keeping my disc lock on it's bendy elastic reminder cord thingy so that I could scream "go go web" and launch it into the windscreen of the next prick that caused me to swerve into the next lane whilst they approached from the side road at 40mph slamming on the brakes in sheer amazement that someone else might be coming down the road, but the logistics suggested that I would probably end up running face first into a tree, plus all the police malarky should they catch sight of my plate.

Now I just pray that cancer gets them before they kill someone with their sheer arrogance.

Best 'weapon' you could deploy is common sense, especially if you're pre-empting the need to arm yourself for a road journey.

Nope.

If you really want to annoy the hell out of them, just overtake when it's safe to do so, and go on your merry way. Picking a fight with someone that's in charge of a ton and a half of moving steel never ends well.

when I was a motorcycle courier in birmingham city center we used to wear motorcross boots with the dirty great big metal toe and heel segs, invaluable for keeping your feet safe in traffic, and great for booting wings, doors, rear quarters or lights

As bikes are more vulnerable in a confrontation I'd prefer stealth weaponry! I've fantasised about having a bottle of paintstripper stored under the seat, connected via rubber tube to a 12v windscreen washer pump, and a windscreen washer jet angled to the side of the bike, all extremely discreet and virtually invisible (parts cost: about a fiver!). Little pushswitch on the handlebars to activate the system... as you overtake the offending car, little press of the button, they won't even know what's happened until they get home and realise the paint's missing down the whole side of their car Laughing

Never ceases to amaze me how mental some of the people on this forum are Laughing

Why not carry a crossbow, I think they're still legal to buy, then you can kill anyone that makes a mistake with their driving or riding (which eventually would be every single person in the world who owns a motor vehicle).

Any time someone does something nobby to someone else, it's usually because they think they're in the right and you're doing something wrong - sometimes they're right, so you throwing eggs/cans/etc at someone who's obeying the law and who YOU'VE just been a twat to, isn't really a very good idea.
Those that did something wrong 99% of the time know they did and will probably feel a plum anyway (I know I've done it before), damaging their car is more likely to make them do it again out of anger than teach them any kind of lesson.

Just accept that a disagreement was had and move on.

Ceramic, small pieces of broken toilet is all you ever need.

It's dense, will smash a car window with no trouble and minimum effort from the rider.

I don't use it, never found the need and hope I never do but if you must, then that should be your weapon of choice Very Happy

It's a bit different on a bike, these fucks that cut you up or think it's funny to jam the brakes on in front at speed and in the wet don't realise that your life is in their hands. If you're ever unlucky enough to lose a few friends through these peoples actions, or have your neck broken or leg amputated you might feel a bit differently Wink Killing them with a crossbow might be a bit excessive though.

It is different on a bike as you say and one thing that's different is that if you piss someone off enough it's incredibly easy for them to kill you.

The fact is that people can completely lose it in road rage situations and all it takes is for them to swerve at you whilst you're swiping at their wing mirror...you have far more to lose.

I've had a couple of road rage situations in my life one of which cost me a few hundred quid and one of which very nearly cost me a beating or worse at the hands of 8 gypsies (yes really) that turned up at my door. You will never feel more prattish in your life than when looking with retrospect at something like that which has happened because of a minor everyday situation that you deliberately and needlessly escalated.
