Visors in the rain

You know what really gets my goat? When it starts to rain and your visor gets wet and the water beads up and just sits there almost entirely blocking your view.
The options are, put up with it. Or, open your visor and just get rain directly in your eyes, rendering you unable to see in a different way.

This is by no means going to be a new problem that only affects me. Surely there's some clever stuff out there that you can bang on your visor to make the rain just disappear from it immediately - or something like that.

Does anybody know of any such thing? Cos it's summer now, so obviously I need to start thinking about it raining a lot.

I either duck a little behind my screen to where the slip stream is turbulent and it flies off or I wipe it with my finger. Same with both methods for fog too.

I found those vee wipes pretty useless as well.

I think I need a new visor. coming home on the motorway last night I had to keep the visor up, no matter how much I wiped with my fingers I just couldn't see shit through it.

I've found that i rarely have an issue with my visor when riding in the rain, by simply not riding in the rain.

A new visor works well in the rain but when it's been wiped with a glove a few times the grit from the road scratches the 'anti-scratch' coatings
so any further rain makes it more difficult to see due to refraction (and other scientific stuff).
All you can do is wipe and find a clear area to peer through.

Household polishes will encourage rain to run off but at night they will cause massive glare from street lighting and other vehicle lights.

You could just rewind and clean/dry with a soft cloth afterwards, (like a VHS tape) then use again.
