my cg has stopped working

i am abit confused just wondering if anyone can help

coming from the points both side's are a negative feed.
also the coil pack is showing negative feed without ignition on as if it's earthing some where.

With the ignition on, one side of the coil will be +12v, the other side gets earthed every time the points close. When the points open, the magnetic field collapses in the primary windings of the coil, causing a current to be generated in the secondary windings, which produces the spark.

Check that the points are opening and closing properly as the engine rotates, and that the negative side of the coil reads 0v when the points are closed, and 12v when they are open.

If you suspect a short to earth between the coil and the points, try removing the wire at both ends (coil and points) and replacing it with a temporary wire to test.
