I bought a 1998 CG125 for £470. Put about 2k miles on it, sold for £525
In my ownership it required the total sum of: £0 in repairs.
I treated it to an oil change... that cost about £8
Love those Honda's. ____________________ 1998 CG125 (Sold) CB500 [+ Clio 172]

Will keep an eye for the varadero, I actually prefer the look of it to a little plastic fantastic to tell the truth!
Really? I haven't seen any that cheap! Will keep looking though! They sound cheap as, can always rely on a Honda
Not being lazy or nothing but If anyone knows any for sale in Essex let me know! |

I wouldn't wait too long. The prices for 125s seem to be rising every day, as I presume loads of people are trying to get their tests in before January. I'm not saying you won't, but you'll be lucky to get anything for less than 600 to 700. Don't leave it too long if you're intending doing your tests on it this year. ____________________ Honda Goldwing GL 1000 Current love

If you can afford the initial outlay, go for the Varadero. They are very reliable, and cheap to run.
They look and feel like a much bigger bike, and make the transition from 'Learner Legal' to 'Full Power' a lot easier.
If you plan on selling it after January, you will at least get your money back, maybe a bit more.
Don't be put off by a 10 year-old one either - they don't tend to appeal to the thrash-and-bash sort of rider, so as long as it has been looked after, it will last for ages! ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

First paragraph;
If you have a large camper van and need a bike to ride across beaches then the Yamaha TW125 is perfect, but in every way it is entirely impractical transport. A sluggish SR125 motor, circus clown riding position and questionable build quality make the Yamaha TW125 a bit too quirky for most people.
Suggest you keep looking ____________________ Honda Goldwing GL 1000 Current love

Yerrrrs... MCN though. At the moment, beggars can't be choosers when it comes to 125s. If it gets you through your tests and doesn't lose much value, it'll have done its job. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I'm done with the two wheelers stuff, but I suggest not to try Huoniao HN125-8 125...
Anyone who states these bikes are robust and reliable, is speaking rubbish. The metal is soft, its develop badly, and doesn't last extended whatsoever. People who praise it only achieve this because they are jealous inside the better producers like Japanese bikes. This bike affected me for pretty much any whole year of setting up it, failing together with the substitutes prices is 20 occasions overpriced! It's mentioned its reliable, the first factor thats reccomended ought to be to get rid of the sidestand switch, because it fails... My exhausts keep falling, and essentially method to ensure that they are on ought to be to over tighten, but leading to flange bending and engine material bending. Threads get removed constantly, and sections snap and discontinue. I bought new sections undertaking an initial ones not efficient soon after buying the bike from new, only to loose them exactly the same day!

What fails is the connector block for the switch wiring, which is placed right underneath the bike. Any trip to the Huoniao owners club will tell you this, and suggest 3 or more solutions.

Have you never heard of spring washers?

chat shit much?
honestly if you took 5 mintes on the owners club solutions to the few problems these bikes have are soon dealt with.
then again if you gave up biking based on the experience of one bike then yu probably dont care much about seeing anything through.
got a car liscence? is it insured taxed and mot'd? if yes then bloody hell! you saw something through!
hope you dont crash or you might "give up with the 4 wheels stuff" too ____________________ BCF's biggest cunt list: Cansa, Pits, Rob |

Post a link, nobody is going to nab it out from under you, but we might be able to spot the inevitable twisted subframe or slack chain. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
