clocks???

im putting a bike back on the road after its been in my garage for abit. it doesn't have a log book. the clocks on the bike are damaged a little and was wondering if i bought a set of after market clocks is this legal because all the miles would of been taken off.

and also what type of paint is best to use for a petrol tank?

Keep hold of the original clocks, so you can at least show the mileage when the new clocks were fitted when you come to sell it. It'll only be illegal if you try to pass the bike off as having less miles, rather than the bike showing less miles itself.
