They probably wouldn't have a clue how to fix it Wink

They are expensive to run as in they use 3 times as much petrol as a normal bike, 10 times as much oil, and can be broken with a single days abusive riding.

I think limiting yourself to bikes with 0 milage is somewhat foolish. you said it yourself you are new to biking. why not learn on an older used bike that you wont be afraid to drop before you go spending every penny you own on the nicest bike you can find?

well i guess that means it would cost too much for a first bike, but the thing with used bikes is that buying one is scary for me,specially here, sometimes they put old parts on a new bike, sometimes the whole engine is like 2years old but the fairings look new...iv driven a honda cbr600f4 and i didnt find it that difficult i wasn't pushing the bike to a high rev so i know i can't really know what a 600cc bike would feel like, but i mean if im gonna buy a used one should i go for a 400cc bike?if you know anything good please tell me but it has to look sporty Cool thanks alot for the help

I feel for you there, ZZR250 is a nice looking bike, wouldn't mind one of those as a first one myself, I don't see very many of them in the UK!
Are you specifically looking for a 250? I don't really know what your licensing laws are, but there are a fair few more 125's/400's to choose from surely?!

Very true, your choice of 250's consists of expensive 2 strokes or rare import 4 strokes.

If you still do want a 250 keep a look out for the CBR250. lovely bike thats very good at taking endless abuse! Laughing

If you willing to put your time into it a 2 stroke bike it might be the bike for you, personally im looking at NSR 250's and they seem like nice bikes.

Mr. Green we don't have any laws here for the license ,someone that just got his license can go buy a hayaubsa Embarassed but i read alot of magazines and don't want to end up dead..i could go for a 400 but i think 125 wont be as much fun and they don't have any of them here

I really like the nsr as well but the people are saying that it would cost too much on oil n petrol the petrol is not a problem were in the middle east a honda cbr600f4 would cost 4$to fill up. The nsr looks great its hard to find a 250cc bike that looks as sporty as a 600 people wouldnt tell the difference between them but i think its quite rare here

Hi

If you are after a brand new bike that really limits you. Not sure which sporty 250s are still made, but most of them will now be quite a few years old.

An NSR250 would be a very nice bike, but would not be a good first bike. To ride one properly would be harder than a 'busa. Very quick handling, sharp brakes, narrow power band, etc.

A ZZR250 would be a reasonable first bike, but it is also one that you will probably want to move on from after a year or so. This is one reason to (in the UK) avoid a new bike due to the very high depreciation in the first year.

All the best

Keith

Hi

As a first bike for a years use a ZZR250 would be fine, but I would avoid buying a new one. You will be paying a fair amount extra I expect for a new one, but the chances as that you will drop it even if that is just pushing it into a parking space.

It is a far smaller dent in your bank balance dropping a cheaper bike!

All the best

Keith

Ermm, I assume that's a typo as no showrooms have that many bikes, or even 400 would be massive stock, 40 sounds more right.
