Because of the long adjusters on my bike's swingarm the stock torque arm doesn't allow the full range of adjustment (or even half of it), so I modified the hanger to fit into the adjuster slot, and junked the torque arm altogether.
Came out quite nice I think for a quickie 2-hour job. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I already made an extended torque arm, actually it was adjustable, but it wasn't very pretty and was a pain in the nads when trying to fit the wheel.
Don't worry mate this is plenty strong enough for any braking, especially when the wheel is set near the back as it'll tend to lock the wheel easily. The insert is shrunk into place, and if you think about it, it would have to literally be torn 'upward' out of that slot but the whole assembly is clamped up tight by the spindle nut.
I actually missed a trick with it because I could have made the block longer and used it as a nut to clamp the axle block, then the caliper would have been held fast in place by the axle block clamp bolt even with the wheel off, but hindsight, as they say, is always more accurate than foresight ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
