Your first one had a flat spot. Can be caused by a number of things, quite commonly a downpipe change.

So you were surprised when your bike worked properly?

Tou bought the same model again expecting the flat spot>

You just wanted to tell us you bought a bike? with an aftermarket exhaust, and a different filter? ik

A "flat spot" is not the same as "stutterd [sic] really badly". Did you honestly think that a massively popular Honda would be allowed to roll (or bunny hop) out of the factory like that? And why on earth did you buy it in that state? Confused

It was just fucked, likely by some clown fisted fiddler who was also Not Sure. It's not really rocket science, it's barely even motorcycle science.

Also, thread worthless without pics.

A small barely noticeable flat spot perhaps, not a big flat spot where it stutters and coughs because the fuelling is wrong.

My old CBR6 had a bit of a flat spot around those revs but it disappeared when I ditched the standard exhaust. It might just be the aftermarket exhaust that is making the difference.
