Helmet radio (two-way)

I'm hoping to get my first big bike this year, and I may be taking a pillion on it quite often.

My friend and I also go on rideouts quite often.

So for these two reasons I've been looking for a two-way helmet radio system. But everything I've found so far has been an overpriced bluetooth set.

Has anyone had any experience with helmet radios? Know of any that are good value?

The Scala Rider systems are often regarded as being one of the best value for the quality performance that you get.

I've tried using a cheap alternative in the past, and found that the background noise, the sound clarity, and the range was barely even useable, let alone decent quality.

I really believe that if you're likely to use it a lot, this is one piece of kit that really shows a significant difference dependant on the quality
