Hi I just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm the girlfriend of a member on here, he let me have a go on his bike (in garden) and I'm hooked!!, i have my Cbt tomorrow. Im borrowing his safety stuff which is ridiculous really as its too big for me but I don't have my own yet ;(

The plan so far is to get a nice scooter to get around town on but I'm not sure which one yet, I've been looking at pink or white ones Wink

I've already been told this but can I just check. After my cbt, I can buy a bike, that's tax and mot already, and put l plates on, and after I pay the big bill (insurance) I can ride it, legally?? Am I forgetting anything?? I already have my provisional, thanks

hello and welcome!
yup, as long as it's 125cc or under then no problems!

just don't make the mistake i made with the mrs on her first scooter, if you're following your fella and he's driving faster than you're happy with, dont try and keep cos you'll just end up binning it (like my mrs did).
good luck!

heya and welcome!

Provisional ~ CBT ~ Gear ~ bike with L And that's it!

When you say borrowing his gear, i do advice not to borrow his helmet as if it doesn't fit well its not doing its job! (CBT centers will provide helmets!)

Good luck tomorrow and have fun! Thumbs Up

Ps, ill let you in on a secret, a RED motorcycle is the fastest you can get! lol Enjoy!

I meant to say, for a 125cc scooter (if you're over 25) insurance should be almost nothing on it, less then £150 for a year on 3rd party fire + theft (thats what my mrs is paying on her 1992 Piaggio Zip 125) with 0 no claims

Don't borrow his helmet. The other gear fitting isn't too bad, but the helmet must be a good fit for you. Borrow the school's.

The colour of a bike vastly affects your ability to ride the bike and unfortunately the colour has to match the rider. Fortunately you've come to the right place for help.

If you can get us a couple of pictures with you on the bikes, we can help you decide which is right for you. Wink

Yes. Thumbs Up

Just to make sure though. Has to be <=125cc and <=14.6bhp

Shocked paying <£60 for me and an L plater on a ped currently.

Combined 6 points and a lot...of claims. no NCB though.

Hi Smile
Definately get a pink bike.

As others have said, don't borrow his helmet. It's very important that it fits right. Buy yourself one before or borrow one from the CBT place.
