After getting some cash together after my Kwak 636 c1h was stolen in April, I'm on the prowl for another.

However, I am not sure which I would enjoy more, the 2005/6 model, or the 2007/8 one... What I loved about my 2005 636 was its seriously aggressive acceleration - yes, I ride a little like a naughty boy. It has great mid range power as well as the high revs.. Have read that the later zx6r is not as powerful, though it corners better.

Does anyone on here know whether the 636 is more powerful than the 2007 zx6r? if so, please let me know Smile

Finding out for myself is difficult as I don't have the balls to test ride one when I know I may not be set on buying it... Silly, but fact.

the P7F doesn't have the nice looking clocks either, although outboard they look 10x better.

I've also heard they're not as powerful, but who actually is able to ride one to its full potential? Not you, so you more than likely won't notice any difference other than on a dyno.

Yeah...they look nice as they're slimmer and curvier... I agree with your opinion of the clocks.

You're very correct with regards to the performance experience by a non-pro rider such as myself. However, even in such a case, surely we/I would notice the torque/bhp/acceleration difference? it's not really a race that I'm after, but more the G-force as I pull back on that throttle. I felt a shit-load of it on the 636, and am wondering whether the same would be felt on the p7f...?

i had a 2008 zx6r P8F for about 2 months and didnt like it at all, ended up selling it after less than 1000 miles.

I've never ridden the 636 05/06 models but the 08 was absolutely gutless although it did handle well in a wierd kinda way, not as well as an 05/06 600rr though. But if your set on a ninja get either the 05/06 or the 09/10.

Mate, you dumped your 636 at like 10mph by locking the rear.

Maybe something more gutless and forgiving is what you need.

Try a cg125 to get your basics.

GSXR1000.

Absolutely effortless, so much low down power.

Although, you did get out-braked by a bus, so I'd recommend something less nutty until you get used to the fact big bikes have big brakes. Laughing

What the, How the FUCK! did he manage that? Laughing

I drive the fekin things and stopping quickly is not exactly something they excel at Laughing

For Mid-range grunt get a SV650, light and pretty nimble but not the top end rush of a ZX6R...
