i have a HJC helmet with a fog free visor but when it rains i cant see anything out of my visor and i am wiping rain of it every two seconds in bad rain but in the pound shop i have seen something called rain away its intended for car window screens apparently it makes a smooth surface so rain slides straight of it and dont stick has anyone tried it does it work or is it not recommended i try it as i dont want to wreck my visor or what makes my visor fog free

fog free visors dont tend to stay fog free in my experience, and fog is easy to deal with, rain less so.

I've got some Rain-x wipes or something that clean the visor really well and leave a coating that makes the rain 'bobble' so it just gets pushed away with the wind which works really well. I say go for it.

A friend of mine uses some rubber strip glued to the index finger of his left glove and he says it works. You could try it, something like finger wiper Cool
