 |
|
Currently doing a regular motorway commute and hating how my stomach gets wet in heavy rain as the wind pushes the rain under my jacket - which is as tightly fastened as i can live with - and up past my waterproof overtrousers (as they only come up to my lower stomach when sitting on the bike). Am fine everywhere else.
So have had it suggested to me that i can buy waterproof trousers with braces on them to hold them up - say more chest height - and figure a pair of those slipped over my textile trousers and under my textile jacket would work lovely...
Anyone know where i can get a suitable set for sensible money? (went and asked how much fishing waders cost in a fishing shop and was promptly shocked ) ____________________ -- Ingah |

I'd guess your best bet would be somewhere along the likes of screwfix or other companies that provide PPE for tradesmen, I'm certain that many places like that will do waterproof overalls and the like.
Plus, if you know someone in the trade, get them to order them for you and write it off in the tax, can't get cheaper than free |

An alternative that I'd recommend is a one piece rain suit.
Like this Hein Gericke one. On offer at £32 atm. Other makes are available but mine is a HG so would recommend.

Last look at trousers at dealers. The vast majority had braces.
Failing that get a pair of chest waders... They for certain will not leak in any of the usual points. Feet, nuts and above.... ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
