Sorted the MOT on the Tcat today so thought I would get both bikes out and make sure they are all gravy.

Bandit has a little fuelling issue but...its usable and just needs a decent clean of the carbs.

It isn't actually that bad. I think it handles well for what it is, I've got it to the edges on the rear tyre without even noticing Laughing

Nice one Paddy, but why do you have two bikes that do roughly the same thing? ie. cheap 600s?

Thundercats are indeed brilliant bikes, I had one for nearly three years, cracking do-everything machines.

My mate bought mine off me and it's still going strong.

Thanks. Interesting site. I've often thought that my Triumph makes me lean on my wrists a little more than the CBR did, and that's what the dimensions show. The knee angle on the Yammy seems mental!

A bit off topic now but; I've heard the ZX7r described as a torture rack a few times, that site shows it to have a more extreme seating postition than a Ducati Desmodeci RR. Says alot if you ask me!

Well, the bandit was given to me. It was just something to fix and get on the road as cheap as possible.

The Thundercat was bought to have a nice hoon on, its actually surprisingly good to ride Shocked

The GSXR sold on ebay as I weighed up running costs, insurance, repairs and think its not the best for me currently.

It feels less sporty than the GSXR, but definitely more at home on this than the Bandit. The seating position is something you get used to on bikes.

I have a thundercats tshirt Laughing

Ideal mate... free bikes are the best sort!

I've often considered a Thundercat as a kinda sports tourer-lite type bike, I may get one at some point Laughing

I bought a thundercat after I stuffed my Bandit work hack up riding in the snow a couple of years ago. It turned out to be the biggest 'pleasant suprise' bike I have ever bought in 20 years riding !
Nice easy comfortable ride or cheeky pocket rocket . . depending on whether you keep it above or below 7 thou.

Dropped a tooth on my front cog and she will pull 150, and pop up in second with very little effort. =o)

Will keep it till I've killed it I reckon.

Can only see it up in 1st, but does ~150mph.

Great little thing

Comfy on shorter runs. But stay on it for a few days and your back is fuqt. Ass was surprisingly comfy though, maybe due to the extra layer of fat I had last year Smile

Good mpg, but it needs more bhp. The old R6 had 120, the cat has 100. And they kick in only after 8000 rpm.

Good enough to overtake any average sports car. I just can't stop drag racing with boyracers in their 106s, Saxos and CLIOs Laughing . Started giving headstart so they can think they had me. But they don't have a clue that I know pretty much every road within a 10 mile radius Smile

1st gear up on the power everywhere, bit of clutch in second and you're doing 80mph + whilst sky gazing =0)
