I dont get on with the foam earplugs, they never stay in properly and generally end up left in a pocket when i take them out after the first use of the day!

I wanted a set of alpine earplugs, but at £15-25 a pair, they seemed rather extortionate. Then today whilst in B&Q i spotted these:

First use indicates these are very good indeed, comfy and good deal of sound reduction, and bloody cheap!

I bought the same ones in a less fancy case for £1.50 at the BSB, I think it was at the HEL stand.

been using that type of earplug for years.

best i've ever found. cuts out wind roar brilliantly yet i can still chat to my mates at the traffic lights without any bother

This. Which is why I use Max-Lite. I've never had a problem with them falling out and they are immensely comfortable and actually stop noise.

cut the stalks down if they're too long...

must admit i had 2 types, one slightly smaller than the other. the smaller ones had a plastic cord that grabbed and pulled them out as i put my helmet on making them a bit crap. the stalks were also a bit too long on those.

the ones i normally use are a little bigger and have a fabric cord which doesnt grab and works perfectly. nice and comfy.

In all honesty i will cut the stalks down on mine and bin the cord. but i can wear them as is just fine.

Doesnt make any odds to me if anyone uses these or not, just a heads up if anyone was looking for something like this Smile
