 |
|
I've booked a test ride for Sunday for a ZX6.
Are there any do's and dont's about having a test ride from a showroom. Obviously this is my first one and I wouldn't want it to be my last ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |

When taking test rides, I always pull over in a layby/ carpark for 15 mins or so and have a bloody good look around the bike. It's amazing what you notice when looking in broad daylight rather than an artificially lit showroom. Also you don't have other customers getting in the way, or salesmen breathing down your neck. Oh, and ride it like it's not yours, 'cos it isn't. ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....

When they ask you how you got on with it, put on a deadpan face and say you were really looking for something a little faster but you will go home and think about it.
Also think of a place that you could ONLY JUST have got to and back in the time you had been out by absolutley ragging the arse off it at double the speed limit and say it felt a little unsteady going round the xxxx roundabout in that place or that some dick in a BMW nearly had you off it at the xxx turnoff, make sure you just drop this casually into the conversation:twisted: ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. just a quick thing to think about .....try not to go over 4000RPM! because it IS new and needs to be RUN IN for 1600km and have it's oil changed at 1000km just think of the unsuspecting buyer who WILL purchase it not knowing it has had it's gut's thrashed from birth I know it is hard but take it from me the ZX-6R feels power wise like a 2000 GSX-R 750 but is much lighter I have a 2004 model and I just love the damn thing hope you enjoy your test ride ____________________ Those bloody footpegs......they ought to do away with em! |
