How to register my TS 125? / Greenlaning

Hey guys, I have recently bought a Suzuki TS 125cc, I think it may be the 90's model? Disc at the front Drum at the back,

Anyway, I know this has previously been a road bike, I need to get the log books and get this on a daytime MOT just so i can get out and about in the countryside, Firstly, What does this need to pass a MOT ( Daytime)

I cannot find the frame number on this bike anywhere, can i use the engine number?? Do i just call the DVLA and ask them for a form?

As you can tell i am new to all this kind of thing so any help you can offer would be great Very Happy

Stripped down trail bike without numbers, sold as a 'field-bike'.... have you not WONDERED why its not ON the road, and doesn't already HAVE a number-plate?

You would need to go to a VOSA centre for ident check to get it registered.....

Whether you would get a registration plate, or cautioned for recieving stolen goods... your guess.

Got any paperwork to say its been through salvage auction, as stolen recovered?

If so, frame no will have been removed to PREVENT it being re-reg'd for road use, or if not, its stolen 'un-recovered'....

frame number is pretty crucial to the matter here.... I am afraid

Hi guys, cheers for your comments, Yeah the bloke has given me a full receipt for the bike to say that its not stolen, with regards to the bike, the guy i bought it off said the engine seized (it was a road bike) and was kept in a garage for a long while, was then sold as a project, someone stripped all the road gear off it and used it as a field bike. So i take it i cannot find out if its "all good" with the engine number then i take it?

I'll make this simple.

No FRAME NUMBER = NO - Registration.

End of.

If it has no frame number, its either been written off, as 'not to be returned to road', or its stolen.

VOSA when you try and register it will NOT look at it any other way.

Ok no problems, thanks for the info... Looks like i am back to the drawing board then people Sad Think i may have a few options though, I will look for a ts 125 with papers, maybe one for spares or repairs then i have all the spares off this one i suppose,

Got to look on the bright side Very Happy

Hi Iain, I was thinking that but not too sure if there is many availble, A guy on this forum found one for me but its a frame with just the numbers and its a 140 quid Confused (i aint that keen) haha

If push comes to shove i would bundle this to the back of the garage with the rest of my collection and pull it out again in the future when i come across a ts with papers.
