Hey all. My summer projects are here An NC30 VFR400 and an L9 ZXR400.

Couple of questions;

Can the NC30's forks be converted into up side down forks?
Can the NC30's 18" rear be changed to a 17"?

Anyone know of anywhere that does more modern looking fairings for the L9?

You can fit USD forks on the NC30

I'd keep the 18 rear, they handle well as they are.

I've taken my brother's account, cause he's a deluded kid. His RS250 'project' ended after he'd spent a fortune on something that's still in bits in MY garage haha!


I'm creating two trackday bikes which are actually achievable aha

RVF rear wheels are 17".

The BT090 is a pretty stick tyre, so its not as if having an 18" wheel is the end of the world.

yeah its me on zxr world and I do now have insurance. and no, my brother's the bullshitting rs250 numpty.

Yeah, USD forks for the modern looks-why else would I be fitting a tyga kit at some point?

The plan is to lightly modify the L9 (and yes Casna, I've realised the tuning package is a big waste of money), then work on the NC30 so it's ready for next summer (no way in hell I'm gonna have time to do it in one summer due to working T_T ) and then finish off the L9. It's going to be a long pair of projects, but I've just got to be patient...and avoid looking at the bills haha!

I know how to do the USD forks conversion job and now know how to fit the rear wheel (rick oliver), but I'm still sceptical of the 18", 'cause as good as the BT090 may be, what happens if they want to discontinue it? I'm royally screwed for a decent tyre then aren't I?

Just checking; some people seem to believe they actually offer usefully better suspension performance, rather than just the "I've got money to waste" tart factor.

Hey hey hey! those kits are pretty damn nice. What's wrong with sticking one on? It's the same principle as someone replacing everything on their bike with carbon fibre (not my cup of tea, but each to theeir own) and I'll admit the USD's are going on for vanity's sake
