Can BCF give some collective positive thought for my lad who's re-doing his CBT today please? He's cacking himself, despite me telling him that it's all going to be ok, and actually learning to ride his bike since failing his CBT at the end of last year. Just a bit of love directed towards the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster would help him immeasurably, I'm sure. Cheers all.

Thumbs Up

I tried every different method of mind control, but none of it worked, he was still shitting it. I did text his instructor a while back asking how he was just doing, and got a reply a moment ago just saying "Dan the man", so I'm thinking he's nailing it. He can ride the bike, it's just him thinking that he's not going to get that CBT certificate at the end that's bothering him

I so hope he's nailed it this time as it gives me an excuse to roll my bike out and ride back from the training centre with him, rather than get my dad to give me a lift up so I can ride the lad's bike back. If you'd ever been in the car with my old man you'd know why. I'd ask dad-in-law, but he's just as bad. Sick

Well, you would think that wouldn't you, but it was the same school that got me through my test, and I thought they were excellent. And after speaking to Alan this morning, he asked how Dan was getting on, and I said he'd improved leaps and bounds. When he asked if I understood how it would've been remiss of him to give him the certificate last time out, I had to agree, 'cos Dan was undeniably shit. It would've been completely irresponsible of them to have "passed" him without further training/confidence building etc., which me and his mum both have both tried to instill in him in the intervening months. Anyways, I went up on mine to ride back with him, he got back here, turned around, and he pissed off to his Grandma's house a couple of miles away. He's chuffed to death, and so am I. That's another one of us...

Thanks once again to BCF for the support. Kudos to everyone that gave him half a thought today. Love you all! X

Good news.

As a side issue I overheard a checkout girl at Asda the other night. She was talking about taking her motorcycle 'test'. That would give her 2 years riding before taking it again. Rolling Eyes Made me smile anyway Wink ...and to pre-empt the question, she was fit Embarassed

The CBT IS a test. If you can be turned away at the end of the day without receiving your certificate depending upon your performance, it's a test in my book.
