Is it really worth spending that much on an exhaust?

I was quoted £1300 for a set of Pan exhausts a few years back!

I hope that was for a full system with headers, stainless collector and end cans. Pan original header pipes are stainless so shouldn't be too much of a problem, it's the rest that can go. That said, £1300 is a bit Shocked

Most i paid for an exhaust was a DEP full system for my CRF cost just over £400

but the Pro Circuit exhausts go for £800+ just for a motocross bike

Not worth it in my book. Most fella's cant get the most out of their bike in factory for so why start spending thousands on upgrades.

I reckon most mods people do are for bragging rights more than anything. Take any of the current litre bikes, they are awsome out of the box.

You hear fellas saying Oh i changed the exhuast and put a power commander on it and its transformed the bike... What like transformed it from a bike you couldn't get the most out of to a bike with exspensive add ons that you still can't get the most out of!! lol.

Don't get me wrong if you got the cash, spend it how you like but trying to say a bike needs that sort of treatment to make it better is crazy.

I'd expect to get much the same subjective impression from a quick-turn throttle, for a heck of a lot less money. Wink
