if it were on a straight i think the zx12r would win but if you had turns or on trackdays etc the yamaha would deffinitly win because it can handle like crazy Thumbs Up

Well the ZX-12R has a higher top end, 186MPH (restricted) and the R1 does about 175MPH.

Yes they did - TZR50 my mates does 73 with the racing spark plug.

I believe both bikes will display 186mph on the speedo, if we're talking the new r1.
I know some new ZX10s have only been a couple of hp of the stock power's of the ZX12 and busa, but won't have as good aerodynamics (or length/weight for a launch) as the older two.

Mr C will probably tell you that the zx12 is actually showing the true speed at that point and has the potential for more, or something to that effect.
