Right guys,
I have booked in for Module 2 for next Friday and it really has put a buzz into me I am feeling nervous/excited for it!

Has anyone have any "key" tips to ensure I do not make a silly mistake and throw away all the work I have put in?
Would help allot, thanks!

Do not feel nerveous please! road signs! Observe and plan at all times! meet cars with care especially on a narrow roads in other words give way to them! nsl roads don't be shy do 60mph on a single carriageway and 70mph on dual carriageway!

Im sure people on here will give you better info, but that's what gave my mod 2 away! Good luck!

Yep - watch the road signs, they'll tell you everything you need to know at every point. Watch out for the instruction to turn "at the next available left/right junction": chances are that the very next one will be No Entry.
Other than that, cancel your indicators, do your ob's and watch your following distances - Only a fool breaks the 2 second rule.
All the best!

If you have a couple of beers beforehand it'll get rid of those nerves. Thumbs Up

In all honesty, just relax. If you can ride safely on the road you can pass the test. Just treat it like a ride-out with a SatNav. Forget about being under examination.

Obvious things are:
- Do cancel Indicators
- Do check mirrors periodically
- Do shoulder checks
- Don't cut anybody up/cause them to slow down/cause them to move
- Don't speed
- Do wear full gear
- Do be polite to the examiner
- Don't be a suck-up
- Do bring all of your documents

Just my usual advice. Try doing a running commentary as you're riding e.g. "parked car on left coming up, check mirrors, lifesaver, pull out and over take" etc.

I found it helped keep me focussed and I didn't forget my obs etc.

Good luck

Double tap the indicators to cancel.

Don't take the examiners position as a cue to where you should be in the lane.

Keep your distance, count three seconds not two. More people fail for being too close to the car in front than anything else apparently.

And this has been said so many times before - treat the examiner as a SatNav, ride safely and confidently.

Thumbs Up good luck and ditto to all the above, remember, life savers, you can't do enough of them, even if you don't think you need to just do one in either direction every now and then, from behind it looks as if you are observing your suroundings, around schools and 20mp zones stick to a speed of 15mp - 18mp, you can never be to carefull in these areas, any where else get up to the speed limit as quickly and safely as possible, stay relaxed, and lastly DON'T filter, your not expected to, good luck and enjoy it. Thumbs Up

You will feel nervous, that's completely normal, in fact a small amount of anxiety can help, makes you more alert. just try not to let it get the best of you and focus on what you're being asked to do

This. Smile

I will add be confident that you will pass. If you do realise you have dropped a clanger, its happened but carry on.! Forget it and ride the rest of the test to the best of your ability. I rode my test thinking I had failed it in the 1st couple of minutes. I was still given a pass at the end.

Just treat it as going for a ride with a sat-nav in your ear. In my case I was surprised at how far back the examiner rode behind me giving me space to do my own thing.

Nick.
