Trance Metal any fans?

I think Silent Descent are absolutely brilliant. I can't cope with constant bellowing for an entire song but find it perfectly acceptable if it is interspersed with decent music breaks. This band fits the bill perfectly for me.

All the worst bits of both put together if you ask me. None of the subtle variations of trace, no euphoria no thumping rhythm, annoying shouty vocals and poor sound leveling.
I was hoping for something like the prodigys mix of techno & rock, only with trance...

Just no! i like Trance and metal but mashed together just no. I like guitars in Trance but it should be soothing a melodic,not noise.

Hmm. I like the principle, but it needs to be darker, heavier and chunkier, before I'll subscribe to it completely as a genre.
Not bad, though. I did download two LPs worth to listen to, just to get a better feel for it.

I think my main problem is that I am really picky when it comes to vocalists. This one's OK, although his voice seems a bit, well, weedy.

I always found myself wishing that more people would run with the kind of stuff that Cubanate were doing ~15-20 years ago, and I guess that this is the natural progression.

Of course, the worst thing is that in my head, Metal + Dubstep has the potential to sound awesome, but no-one ever manages to get these musical hybrids right.
