Just got new tire for front that matches the read (pilot road 2), wheel balanced, rear wheel balanced, new front brakes, chain tightened and lubed, rear wheel aligned and correct air pressure in tyres.

What a bloody difference. It's like a different bike. I knew the bike wasn't right but never realised how much out it was. Made me smile from ear to ear coming home.

Bang tidy!

Same here when I had mine serviced in March. Same tyres too. Incredible difference.

Been having a nightmare with my rear tyer. Got the Mitcherling pilot 's.

Nice tyre super grip lovely to ride but I always get punctures with them.

Had two punctures in my last one and had them repaired. Then put a new one on before my trip to the IOM.

As soon as I was back I came out one morning to find a flat! Looked at it and had a nasty screw though it!

Had it repaired as no way as I can afford a new one after that trip!!!

1 I'm just unlucky

2 My neighbors hate me

3 Shit make that pick up nasties.

So today I noticed my bike was riding like shit, checked the back tyre at work and coated the back tyre with water and found the repair job had gone wrong and saw that bubbles were coming out where it had been repaired.

Took it to the guy who had sorted it (nice guy btw always sorts me out with a good price). He told me that this make are a bitch to repair cos of the soft compound. He ended up putting a Inner tube in it and free of charge and I did not get no more the 5mins away and it blow.

Got it back there and got them to put my old one on! As the Inner tube me thinks is a big gamble lol.

Still got the new tyre in the back of my van might try and get it fixed again when this one goes wrong.

I use my bike every day, maybe these tyres are no good for every day use and just good for weekend warriors?

I wonder how many people sell bikes because they haven't done some basic maintenance and adjusting, thinking their bike is just crap?

To be fair I was almost part of that statistic. However I eventually improved my technique enough to ride my bike well enough to still enjoy it, kinda just accepted the issues thinking it was just the bike and studied twist of the wrist, and eventually it was ok.

Feels like a restriction has been removed. Really need to keep up with basic maintenance more often but I'm knackered after work and don't keep on top of it.

There are about 12 different types of Michelin Pilots. The only reason I mention it is, it's beneficial for those of us about to invest in some new rubber bands to know exactly which ones you're on about.
