So i brought my self a carbon fiber micron race can for my600f2 its rather loud. It came with No stamps on it.

So out came the metal stamps and now its got BSAU 197a T3/1990 neatly stamped on it!

I figured this would properly fool most coppers haha all my mates think it looks really convincing! Mr. Green

Why stamp anything at all.

My can has no markings anywhere. It's legal (probably)

thats what I believe to be true also. When I had a scorpion fitted to the bandit, as luck would have it, I worked next door to the polisher who had the contract with scorpion and he very kindly offered to professionally polish out the "for race use only" it passed every MOT just fine. Not sure how well my vance & hines are going to do when my latest bikes due its first MOT though

Got my bike through an MOT by covering the 'for race use only' on my laser stubby (on a cbr600f2 as well!) with some insulation tape... guy said it was fine.

it's ridiculously loud, and it has no stamps at all... still got through Mr. Green

Mine passed its MOT a month or so ago. Which is good enough for me.

And it's horrendously loud.

(on the official loudness testing scale, horrendously is louder than ridiculously)

FWIW for MOT they changed the rules a bit back. Now it is just up to the examiner and his opinion if exhaust is too loud.

It's up to the examiner's discretion if there's no BSAU stamp on the can. If the words "Not for road use" or similar are on there, it should be a fail. And a fine if you're caught by the plod.

I have a Micron Can that says "Not Road Legal" or something very similar in the paperwork. But it doesn't say anything like that on the can itself. Someone also put a "BSAU" stamped-plate on it and it passed the MOT without a problem.

My mate has a Race can on his SV650s.

When he took it for its MOT We hammered my Scorpion baffle in it and sealed it up with bathroom sealant.

If this ever happened then you are both as daft as eachother, if not then it's just you who is a fool for making stuff up, again.

Mine has a little alloy tag with the BSAU number on it glued to the underside of the outlet, passes mot just fine and has no provision for any kind of baffle. sounds lovely Mr. Green
