i did look at the casal's but discounted them because of the head shape,
the casals used the zundapp motors which had a square head,
i think it looks more like a efs or ...
find me a pic of a casal which is the same as yours then i'll beleive you

A guy at work keeps going on about the fact that he still has a 'full head of hair' at 59 years of age as if it makes him younger somehow .
He clearly dyes it 'cos its jet black and with his old leathery wrinkled face he just looks ridiculous. Laughing

the white badge on the side of the tank says casal not very clear in the pic..but when i took it to a casal dealer to have the engine fixed in 1977 may have meant to me it was a casal....duhhh

I believe him :-

Quote:
Business leader João Casal met representatives of Zündapp at a trade fair in Hanover in the early 60:s, and then started to build mopeds with Zündapp engines. From 1966 he made his own engine, the Casal engine, which is a modified copy of the Zündapp, to be built in a many variants.

i know casals made there own engines as well, but they nearly all had the flat type head on them, they were actually really good motors,
im yet to find any pics of a k190 with that motor,
i have no doubt it is a casal, may be it had an after market head, or a new motor.
who knows, cool wee bike none the less Thumbs Up
