This place is great. I wish we had a forum like this over in the U.S.

I *think* the reason we have one like this over here is that motorcycling is a bit more popular here than it is over *there*. Don't quote me on that though, I know you do have your fair share of harley riders over there, but I don't thnik sports bikes are that popular. Confused

I'm not sure myself which is more popular but we certainly have more harley and custom chopper manufactures than we do sport-bike manufactures.

There seems to be A LOT of sports bike stunters in Yankland, or is that just the same minority using different names??

You'd think with our weather there'd be more bikers in California alone than the whole of England. Thinking

To be honest, it really seems like biking's only just getting popular on the West coast, what with all the chopper-based reality shows like American Chopper, Great Biker Build-off and West Coast Choppers, etc. There've always been hard-core Harley nuts like The Hells Angels, etc. but I'm seeing more and more new sport bikes on the road in the last couple of years.

As for our current lack of a forum, I'd say it's a good thing. It'd just be full of morons bragging about how fast they went and who they offended, anyway. I'm a huge fan of Korn's format for this forum and wouldn't have it any other way. Thumbs Up

Off roading seems very popular out there but maybe that’s because you obviously have more places to ride. The US based off-roading forums are much better too. I use an American off-roading forum because I can’t find a decent one here. Anyone know of any? The American riders are much better too! Maybe it’s because there’s much more money in it for those guys, but even so. You have to admire some of the tricks the freestyle guys do. When you think they’ve reached the limits of what you can do on a motocross bike they whip something else out of the bag. Trials doesn’t seem to be so popular out there though. Dougie Lampkin has been number one in the world for ages now.

You'd think there would be more sports bike riders over the usa thanks to the AMA, but I bet most people over there don't watch it, too much into nascar and indy.
