I'm stunningly unsurprised, I had some scrote kick my shop window in and gave the police dvd footage and stills including one of his friends using the cash point next door. Despite all this evidence including an easy way to identify at least the friends of said scrote they failed to investigate and four weeks later called to say they had lost the dvd I gave them Rolling Eyes

Reminds me of a group of chavs who live near my local train station. Everyone morning/night they always roam around the station car park looking for unlocked bikes/cars with valuables, i just pretend I'm not looking and get on with my business.

It's amazing that the police do nothing. I would bet these scum are known to some of the officers.

There is a number you can call about that you know.
I hope they start on you.

I hope you'll be okay, but I hope they shit you up enough to make you pull your finger out.

Can't stand people who stand idley by while people fuck everything up, then they say "But I could get attacked!" fuck off you pussy

If you report them in the first place you won't end up having to confront them

Post a picture of yourself you big hard man. I'm sure you'll manage fine with a group of thugs 'tooled up' in both sense of the phrase.

I've rung the police before about theft going on outside one of the places I used to live. Not going to say anything myself. It's not MY property they were stealing, I keep my cars and bikes locked up and out of sight.

Why do companies have cctv and no one watching them???

Surely its much easily to prevent an incident than mop up after one??

Tweeted it anyway Thumbs Up

No, it's much easier to put up a sign saying "Vehicles parked here at owners' risk"

£12K worth of bike and no alarm, no tracker, no disc lock, not even a cover. I had to spend about 10 minutes unlocking my old DRZ when I used it for work Laughing That's why I don't commute on 2 wheels any more, it's too much hassle and I worry all day.

Because you'd have to hire someone with an SIA license with CCTV on it
And mostly nothing ever happens, the signs are a good disclaimer so we can say "Not our problem"

We've had people have their cars scratched up and they come in to request to look at the CCTV and we have to say no, you have to report it to the police and get them to have a look, they never do, as everyone knows the police are pretty crap especially with something minor like that anyway

I spent a good 3 hours down a police station because I decided to report a crime, the guy was charged but fuck, it took so long and they promised me a lift home which I never got, a big part of me was asking "Was it really worth it"

Yes.

If you don't report crimes they they don't end up in crime figures. Then Cameron gets to stand up and claim that "crime has gone down again (here are the numbers)" when the only thing that's gone down is our tendency to report crimes due to our exasperation with a police force that seems to do nothing about them.

Report everything. Embarass the government. Get some money back into the police and get their priorities changed to solving crimes rather than hiding in bushes with a speed-gun.

Your local force is always on the look out for Special Constables, oh mighty keyboard warrior. Razz

Great tagline from Wasting Police Time: "this book will put you off calling the police more than anything except calling the police."

Stupid specials. Seems to me a great way to get cheap labour and even cheaper training.

I thought about doing it, then saw you needed a full UK driving license and said, fuck that then

That and not getting paid to work...yeah i'll get right on it
I think most apprenticeships are a con for cheap labour too, but people are so desperate for any type of work they'll take them, and work full time, at £2.50 an hour, doing the same thing as the person sat next to you is doing on full wage. Dumbb. Makes sense if you're picking up a trade, but not for fucking admin and basic shit any lepper can learn after a month in an office

Given the recruiting situation in most forces, the only route in is via the Specials, unless you are a bit... special. Warped could, of course, skip it and go straight in as a Detective Chief Sergeant Batman.

Mmm. That's likely what your lawyers have told you, but they're pussies erring on the side of spineless caution.

Being asked by the police is neither necessary to allow you to hand it over, nor sufficient to compel it.

DPA 1998 29 allows disclosure for "the prevention or detection of crime" or "the apprehension or prosecution of offenders". It says not one word about the parties making that request.

Heck, look at the DVLA. They take money in return for handing out our data to any bunch of private parking thugs with a letterhead, and that's over purported civil claims, not even criminal offences.

My niece has a Degree in Criminology of some sort and wants to be a dibble... She has joined the Specials as it is the only way into the WY force at the moment.

Don't be so quick to slag off a Special as there is a fair chance thay will be twice the human being you are!!!!!!

You don't need a driving licence to be a special and most forces only recruit through specials now Confused

On the CCTV thing, even worse is when they have CCTV which isn't recording!!

To be fair I would have thought my bike would be 'safe' in a car park like that but now I know different Shocked
