not quite - more a fact that people doubted a 22 year old could own a ducati 1098 - if you want an argument go elsewhere, i don''t deal with jealous doubting kids any more

If you don't deal with it you probably won't enjoy it here. Unfortunately.

Why don't you just come out with how you got the money to get the vehicles?
Surely if it was innocent you'd have no problem coming out with it?

I dunno...

Surely you must understand that it appears you live in a council estate and you own a ducati, a KTM and a Audi.

What does this say to most people?
Drug dealer?
Sex trafficker?
Other illegal acts?

This is perhaps why you've had grief previously.
You could just say,
I work at an "IT firm"* (for example*), and I earn 25k a year with perks doing such and such other tasks which I am qualified to do".
Could just clear it up, you know....

i'm never going to understand this, i've come on a bike forum and get questioned what i do for a living lol

is this a bike forum or a tax forum ? why on earth should i need to disclose what i do for a living

so can someone from a council estate not earn a good living ? stereotyping !

I'm not questioning you. I couldn't give a flying turd. I'm just saying you must understand why some people are questioning it, and how you could easily silence the questions; by answering them.

No you shouldn't have to answer them, but it's not gonna cost you anything to answer them anyway.

Good luck.

I dont get people saying a 22 year old cant own a posh bike.

A used Ducati 1098s is still SUB 10k and 10k isnt really alot of money nowdays.

Granted spending all that money on a 1098s when you clearly live on a council estate with your parents is a different question.

But its definitely possible at 22.

I owned a 2 year old Ducati 749S at 19 back in 2006 worth around 6.5k at the time.

Ive know several people with cars costing over 10k aged 23-27

22 ... lol ... are you sure you're not 27? A quick look at your youtube account says you're 27. This would explain how its possible to get insurance on these vehicles .... you go on about beating BMWs in your RS4 so i'm assuming its you like, unless you owned these vehicles 5 years ago .....

i'm not 22 now - i was 22 when i bought the ducati, i purchased it new, i'm 27 now - i do not own all of them i sold most of them on obviously

i currently own the 1098s, the 660 smc and the rs4, i spend a lot of time abroad for work, so its pointless owning my own place

i was on the 125cc forum about 5 years ago and they all doubted that i'd bought one..... which then turned into a hate attack lol

as already stated, what does it matter what i do for a living lol

depends how you look at it, oil change every 1000-1500 miles which costs £20 in oil and £10 in filters minus an hour of your time, valves need checking every 3000 miles which a garage can do for about £80, which to be honest isn't really true as the motor gets older, the obviously there's the usual fluid changed and spark plug changes, no different from any other bike to be honest!

my ktm has no battery, kick start only and other than usual wearable parts i've only had to buy a clutch lever and a light switch, it's 16,000 miles / 9 year old - so not bad really - i also use it in all weather - 34 mpg though lol

the lack of ticket being displayed on all but 2 of them is a little bit of concern, seems anybody can afford to by the stuff, affording ride/drive them legally is a different matter.

heck i could go go and get me a nice little car, but i do not have a driving licence or insurance.

perhaps some evidence that they are least being used legally would start to change some people opinion - and yes its illegal not to display tax, so strictly speaking everyone of those vehicales that are not displaying it and are not on private ground is breaking the law - thats at least 5 machines...
