I know this may seem un-related to bikes, so just bare with me Wink

2 years ago I had an accident on my bike, which left me unable to work for 6 months and I lost my job, money ran out and I had to move back in with my mum.

Since then I've really struggled finding work, as there was such a large gap between now and previous employment...

It was a real kick in the balls and really affected my confidence and as a result, I was feeling really down about my situation and kept regretting that one moment that changed my life's path so drastically, to the point I felt I'd never recover from its effects fully.

Until today, I had my first day at Hein Gericke and loved every minute of it.

I'm happy to say I am now a Hein Gericke employee!

Can't wait for the first pay cheque so I can book my theory!

Things are definitely looking up now Very Happy

Northampton outlet mate.

As for the 80% discount, even I don't get that kind of discount, unfortunately!

We do have an interest free credit policy though, so essentially I'll be getting paid in items, as near enough every penny I earn will end up back in the store lol!

That's how I found the vacancy in the first place, I went in window shopping lol!

Thanks for all the messages of congrats, It's very much appreciated and makes me feel good that people I barely know and have never met can be so kind, It's not something you see very much any more Smile

You're spot on the mate, what with the accident affecting me a fair amount psychologically, then not being able to find work affecting that even more, you do start to feel trapped and stuck in a rut, to the point it's smothering and makes you believe you'll never break that.

Finding this job has really made me feel the worst of it is over and I can finally relax a little and look to the future, rather than just exist from day to day.

I certainly have! couldn't think of a job I'd enjoy more, well, apart from professional angler, mattress tester or male escort for the ladies! (I'm not a very good angler, Ikea have "doink" making that job obsolete and I don't have the figure to be an escort) lol!
