 |

really want to get into motorbike stunting but professionally, have to start out with a bike but which one ? done a fair bit of research and most seem to go with the CBR and ZXR, but obviously dont want to pay top dolla for a bike i will pretty much thrash into the ground,
and lets say i got a bike and got it all set up where can i legally go to practice, guessing i would have to go out on a hunt to find a nice hidden car park, if a place is privately owned i would have to get permission for the po po not to bother me ?
also think it may be easier to start out on a supermoto ____________________ owned bikes: DR50, Thumpsta 110 , Honda CR85, Speedfight 100, Yamaha XT125X, Honda CRF450, Honda Hornet '07

Probs best start on a supermoto, CBRs and ZXRs are heavier, have torque in higher revs not lower and have loads of fairing to wreck.
Take a look at at superretards on youtube, they all use lightweight supermotos.
Maybe best to get started on an off roader or road legal with dirt tyres so you can go places where it isn't entirely illegal. ____________________ Avoid HASTINGS DIRECT SCUM

Pretty much what G said. Don t really bother until you've unlocked infinite wheelie cheat, and can slow down/speed up at will.
Lol @ wanting to do it professionally. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

Because by the sounds of it you don't even do it non-professionally? ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. What's wrong with him wanting to do it professionally? Better to aim high and learn it right than just mess about in car parks and learn bad habits? |

I've been trying to keep wheelies up for ages, probably since 2010.
I probably haven't got the balls to lift a road bike up that high |

I disagree too.
I think it's far better to be the guy that does an impromptu stunting display on his own road bike at big bike meets and pubs etc, than aim the bar so high and try to be another AC Farias etc.
I was at the Butins weekend in Skeggy in 2002, and there was this guy there on a fazer 600, similar to my mate's bike. He was getting a huge crowd around him when he just came out into the car park one evening, and started doing stunts. I thought he was pretty good and had some skill, as he was doing long sitting on the tank wheelies, and stoppies and standing on the tank riding, as well as surfing along behind the bike holding the grabrail.
The only shame is that he didn't wear a helmet, gloves or a jacket/leathers. So even so you could say he was foolish he made it look very easy, and the bike was the one he rode to the show, so it had no crash bar's, skid plate or massive down gearing etc.
To do it all on a non prepared road bike, especially one that you've spent time and money personalising and looking after is more impressive to me too. |
