I went out for a nice ride earlier. Lovely weather, clocking 90-100 around the empty country lanes. Brilliant ride.

It starts to get dark all of a sudden and I pull over to switch my black visor for my clear one to improve visibility.

As I pull over it starts to rain, very lightly. My visor's off and I'm just about to put the clear visor back on when hail the size of golf balls starts falling from the sky. Fortunately that didn't last long and by the time my visor was switched the sky was actually a bit brighter and the hail had stopped.

I head towards the A5, aiming for Hinckley. Having to keep my speed down and be very wary of the amount of leaves now covering the road and corners. Thankfully the car-tracks were almost leaf-free, so that was my safe passage.

Approaching the town the traffic started to increase. Puddles. Well, not really puddles, more like rivers running through the roads.

I found it very funny where all of the cars are turning around in the road, trying to find another route and then WHOOSH, motorbike goes through the puddle as if it wasn't even there. Laughing

Here's one of the "puddles" that I contested with today:

So, how's everyone enjoying their summer? Smile

Absolutely horrid was fine apart from chucking it down on my way to Stafford along the A34 managed get into the town had an interview "feeling great" come outside and someone has snapped of my right hand mirror.

Almost lost the bike at a river puddle on the way home on a roundabout coming around car in front decides let a few other cars go and stops on the actual roundabout.

Que me holding it in first go forward and the bike pulls to the left I pull up and a petrol attendant asks how I was (apparently the back wheel was spinning standing still in first) he thought I was doing a trick Shocked

Now off to find some cheap mirrors and hopefully remove the broken part thats left.

FUN FUN FUN

Had this when I picked my bike up from MCT in Stowmarket.

Was in Dad's cage going there.

Apparently so. It's on a road quite near the quayside, so i'm assuming the drains were pretty backed up as the Tyne was a tad full.

Some areas quite a lot worse than mine then! Laughing

Also, Middle Finger to everyone who's been having the great weather; I'm envious! I'm sure my wallet appreciates it though. Hopefully finally found myself a job though so I can afford leisure petrol again. Very Happy

The weather is lovely here again; you can't even tell it's been raining where I live! Got to love British weather hey. Laughing

We had this last week. The main road through Darwen was a river. Our Nursing home had water pouring into the lift shaft. The sewage that mixed with the flood water was disgusting. Luckily its nice and sunny at the moment
