Getting new bars, is this brace thing a waste of time on a road 125 2T ?

Mine are braced on the GS: https://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/525969_426093674092268_1555799868_n.jpg

So long as the bars that you're ordering are the same diameter then I can't see why everything wouldn't fit on. No idea about the guards though.

Worst part for me was the bar ends. The braced bars were made out of a much thicker metal than the OEM bars, meaning that my bar ends didn't fit. Luckily my bar ends are some rubbish kind where it's just a rubber which slots in to the hole. Put the rubber on a drill and used the drill as a lathe against a file. Job done. Thumbs Up

Only went for braced because it was the cheapest option. I don't think there's any real benefit from having them.

Look closely, he has a bar-end mirror on the right handlebar.

As far as I know, mirrors aren't even required to take your tests. They're not a legal requirement for riding. I've still not got myself any yet.

Hardly acting 'big and tough', just pointing out that he did his test without mirrors.

He's not trying to be "big and tough". He's merely stating that he passed his test without mirrors because you're so insistent that he needs them.

A completely unrelated topic for the thread in question. He's been riding fine for ages without mirrors, he's asking about new bars, leave the guy to what he's happy with.

Test would be done on their bikes, and why is a 125 2t not worth adding to, buying things for.

The bikes perfect for my usuage, a Lot of thought and questions on here went into deciding what I actually needed, not what I would want.

Bikes tuned as standard, will leave well alone considering she's done about 8k miles and is still on 150 psi.

Yes I do things that I would of considered boring years ago, but now think they are great.

It's a nice little bike, used little, a nice edition to my life, transport and can be fun. Thumbs Up
