Just saying hello - I'm a true bike newbie, CBT at the end of the month and a '75 CB125 in many bits in the garage. I've put a post in the 'show and tell' section detailing my progress so far if anyone's interested.

Been driving cars for 9 years or so, sold my hairdresser-mobile earlier in the year and have been relying on pushbike and hire cars for wheeled freedom since. Looking forwards to being able to take a spin out into the countryside of an evening, there are some lovely roads not far from Bristol.

So yeah, just saying hello, no particular questions at the moment Smile Not sure how far my biking ambitions go, but my housemate leaving copies of 'Classic Bike' and such lying around is definitely a dangerous influence Wink

No prizes for spotting the two obvious missing items (I've got a helmet, and the engine's in bits!):

Is your left foot on the floor, or is there some sort of sorcery involved in your balancing abilities?!

Oh, and welcome!

Did my CBT today, really enjoyed it, got the all-important certificate. Took me most of the morning to get to grips with the bike, got better from there and really enjoyed the road riding.

What's taken the shine off the day is my friend coming off his (big) bike and breaking his arm in two places Sad
