Does anyone know what colour the indicator lives are at the front end of the loom?

Rebuilding the bike, but some tool has added bits and chopped bits out and it's making my brain hurt. I've got two earth straps for the battery, and a million spade connectors which if arent connected all the lighting stops! Trying to get it to a point whereby the front end is connected as should be, at which point i can work through the back end till it all works propperly.

Would be very grateful!

how do you mean indicator lives, if i understand correctly and theya re all theame through the years then green for right and black for left, balck and white is ground.

got a colour haynes wiring digrame here if you want me to scan it for ya

Id sussed the earths went into the Y connecter, black with a white stripe, just the live thats doing my nut at the moment.

I'd actually go and bash one out over a colour wiring diagram at the moment! scanning of would be much appreciated.

Front indicators now come on. Dont flash, one brighter than the other. I.e left indicator pressed, left one on bright, right one on dim.

Guessing i've got a short somewhere!

maybe but unlikely to cause the difference in brightness, check the earth on the duller one, if you got a spare flasher swpat it over just to make sure.

oh an also make sure the wire to relat are around to way they came off. i have flasher relays that prefered to be wired back wards - beats me why but they wouldn't if wired as they were suposed to be

are they LED indicators??? if so you will have to add diodes to the idiot light to make them work

hmm, the fact that all 4 are on is a concern. what happen if you discounect one side front and back?

also check that the swtich gear is still good

Will unplug, video and see. I'll get the switchgear indoors in a minuite and strip/clean everything.

Edit; not going to bother posting vid. Does exactly the same thing. Although when the dim light comes on it takes a while to get there, like turning on a dimmer switch.

Sussed it. Non LED indicators, however the bulbs are too small.

Flasher unit doesnt click at all, when one original indicators connected you can feel the relay click once. Ordered LED flasher relay...see how it goes from there.
