I had a near accident today by wobbling off to thr right at a junction when I was indicating to go right and some bugger was crawling up on my right anticipating the lights changing. It was my fault but I havent had such a glaringly incompetent launch since the first week of riding months ago. The cause? the weather and my job. To be clearer I was hacked off with the mist and rain and my last client meeting and this had got into my head and ballsed up my biking neurons!!! I continued back into town making all sorts of mistakes and getting steadily more miserable to the point I even considered getting off the bike!

Just needed to rant (at myself really).

Anybody else find the weather screwing with their mind?

Only with my vision.

It's important to concentrate when riding, especially in low visbility. It could literally be the difference between life and death.

Yeah, I feel you, riding angry/not focused is the worst thing ever... the rain only increases the danger factor.

on a drizzly day, I pinned it on the CBF from a stand still, slipped and sided everywhere! (being a dismal 11 BHP I was not expecting it to "burnout" so to speak" it caught me off guard, made me look like a right wally!

Needless to say, it makes an impact to your day. But hey, you've got a brand new one tomorrow.

Why?

Although, I did say the same today to a mate - at least in winter, cold though it may be the sun seems to come out and its drier.... Rolling Eyes

Its odd the thngs that can effect your riding. I find hesistant drivers in front of me at junctions and in ques of traffic screw me up as well, wierd 'cos they're the ones with the problem.
