Can't find replacement rear wheel for Honda CG 1978 Model..

Hi all, Jus bought a bit of a busted up old cg, (1978 model), so that i can fix it up and hopefully learn abit more on how to fix my other cg when it brakes down, also, when i fix this 1978' CG, hoping to ride it around abit and have it looking all chromed up!

Anyway back to the reason i'm posting, the back wheel has a loose/broken spoke, i'd rather replace the wheel but i cannot find a replacement wheel, i've read somewhere that all cg wheels are the same? is that true? and also if i cant find a new wheel, would i be alrite welding the broken spoke back to the wheel? is that legal?

new wheel or get new spokes, don't weld em. Highly likely that welding will put the wheel very unevenly balanced.

can't say for sure, but a later 90's wheel should fit, someone will be down to answer that

I've got a 1996 model CG that I ride for everyday use, I might just see if the back wheel fits onto the 1978' CG, I dont think i'll be able to get a new spoke because the actual spoke hole has gone from the wheel, I'll let you know how i get on anyway,

1996 & 1998 rear wheel honda cg wont fit on to the 1978 honda cg model, just letting anybody who needs to know...know ,

i found out the hard way/ expensive way, haha

does anyone know what rear wheel will fit on the 1978 model apart from the actual 78' model wheel, coz i carnt fint them anywhere?

got quoted £90.62p for a hub for the 1978 model from david silver spares, i thought that was abit steep?
