I'm sure I saw that advertised on ebay recently?

How do you ride on the road with no indicators?

Confused

What do you need to ride on the road? I was under the impression that during the day it was a brake light. You can ride on the road with no indicators, sticking your arms out instead, but if your bike has indicators, they have to be working.

I was under the impression you needed a break light and indicators to get a daylight-only MOT?

All new bikes (dont know when it was introduced) must have indicators in the UK (correct me if im wrong here). However if your bike was made before this became the law you do not have to have them (classics for example)

To be honest iv never had a bike wothout indicators so never had to try this out

For a daytime MOT you mustn't have any lights at all. If you put a brake light on then you have to have them all.

I know this because I've just done it on my other halfs race bike Very Happy

I was under the impression all you needed was a brake light and indicators are not required if the switch for them has been removed but after reading above post it appears not.

How can you not have a break light?? You'd be on someone's bonnet at the first roundabout!

You do need a brake light for a daytime only MOT. You do not need a rear light, headlight or indicators but other then that it's all the same as a normal MOT.

Confused I didn't have a brake light but it got it's MOT ok. Always has done.
Don't really use it on the road tho it's mostly so we can insure it for theft, they won't touch it as a race bike Rolling Eyes
