hey people just a bit of advice, most may already know but just incase.

I break motorcycles / trade for a living and have never done much with the batteries i have left over but keep them. But when i decided to change unit i didn't want to take all the batteries with me and the 'tip' wouldn't take them as its obvious I'm a business.

Then i found out there actually worth something! intact quite a lot i sold 23 used batteries some scrap some may still work for £200 car batteries are supposedly worth more

I sold them to a local guy who does car salvage/repair who said theres still some money to be made from them.! so in future look into selling rather than just throwing them away Smile

oh yeah the scrap lads love the batteries think they are full of lead.

The fella that came to service our fire alarm at work said he makes a nice little wedge every couple of weeks through batteries. The alarms take 2 motorbike size batteries, he changed 3 or 4 alarms a week so thats 6 or 8 a week.

Nice work if you can get it Wink

yeah youll be suprised what shit the scrapyard will take off you,

even bricks if you hide them in stuff Wink i took a few car batteries and a fooked alternator and made off with a few beer tokens.

being a sparky i always had scrap copper or anything else left lying about on site destined for the bin.

ive walked out many times with a cheeky grin after a bit of cash for scrap, its a case of one mans rubbish is another mans treasure

Copper pipes fill of sand and folded off at the ends in a bag were a favorite of ours for the scrappy
