Dont go.

Long story short
2 lane road going into 3 for a roundabout, crossed out section before the new 3rd lane. Cars all in the left and middle lane so no easy way to get myself into the 3rd. lane because i thought you can’t put your vehicle in the cross section, i couldn’t get into the 3rd lane so i stopped in the 2nd lane waiting to move into 3rd some cunt tried to squeeze around me to get into 1st lane and mounted the curb thus causing my fail.. Also 8 times some fucker either; cut me up; forced me to change position on a roundabout, pulled out in front of me causing me to hard brake
I even explained to him that I didn’t feel it was safe to ride so close to oncoming traffic. He still failed me because I caused an obstruction to some… no Mr Instructor man. I was being safe and some impatient twat mounted the curb

was doing 30 in a built up area. fully lit, houses both sides. apparently i should of been doing 40.... yes id agree if signs said do 40, no signs... so you do 30...and get a minor -.-

I really don't get that ?

As the speeding brigade always say "it's a limit not a target"

Do you have another test centre nearby ?

I live not far from Garretts Green (Sheldon). That Junction is a nightmare at the best of times. People get pretty impatient and are likely to try and Roadbully people around that area.

I know it doesn't help you now but you really need to command your lane / position around an area like that or people will just take the Pi$$

Stay safe and good luck for next time Thumbs Up

this is why i went far and away for my test. Shropshire to be exact. did the whole thing on nice quiet country roads and barely saw any traffic. Much less stress.

Even with a full licence and 5 years experience Birmingham is a bloody nightmare

Similar 2-lane to 3-lane nightmare roundabout in Newport, fortunately our instructors know its a horrible roundabout. Thats why they made us go over, off and across it several times before test day*. Why not go and practice it?

Sorry you had cruddy luck. Better luck for next time...

*either that or they were sadists and wanted to see us newbies suffer at the hands of a incomprehensible roundabout with a shed load of traffic...

On the flip side though, practice Birmingham and you'll whizz through it fine. I have no problems going straight throug the city centre. Mr. Green Thumbs Up
