Brake pads are going to be about £10 but a garage will probably charge you £20 to fit them...

So £10 if you fit your self
Or £30 if you take it to a garage

Noisy how?
Do you mean like a squeeking sound when you brake? Because that could be caused by water on the brakes (has it been raining over your way?) Only cure for this is to let it dry
If its continual noise, it could be the brake pads badly positioned or wearing, and the only cure is to:
1) Take it to a garage - as M1ke said, should only cost £30 or so
2) Try and fix it yourself - Dodgy, unless oyu know about bikes
3) Ride round the block half a dozen times, putting on the brake a lot, to see if it "loosens" it (or the noise stops)
