I've been on d/gov site relentlessly for days & have now managed to get mod 2 brought forward by 4 weeks to this Fri 3/08.
Been out plenty on my 125 , stop starts/angle starts/hill starts, drumming obs lifesavers into self.

I can't do much more in terms of been prepared, so it comes down to how it goes on the day. My last available ride via training is Weds, so won't get on test bike again until 30 min before test.

I'm going into this with the outlook of if I'm going for test it ought to mean I can ride a bike well enough, if I can't then what the hell am I going into a test for??

I'm going to ride for myself, not concentrate on where examiner is only his instructions. If I can enter/leave junctions/roundabouts etc: safely I will not be thinking - is there sufficient gap for 2 of us to get out - he's not there in that respect, I am.

I remember watching a guy doing mod 1 & knowing I was next out the old ticker started banging, but as soon as I commenced I settled, same thing on Fri & I'll be feeling good.

Above all it's my intention to enjoy it from the get go & if I don't get through, at least I'll know why & where to correct on next attempt.

got a cracking bike waiting for me to get out on it Fri ( pic below )aft, that's all incentive I need.

That's how it should be, people who don't get nervous at all aren't natural. Your body is meant to clear itself out and then start pumping adrenaline just before a battle or hunt, but as soon as the battle starts it all goes away and you get brilliant focus and concentration. So when you're sitting there with heart racing, clammy hands, needing a wee etc. it's all normal and as soon as you get called into the office it'll drain away and you'll be full of win.

You've got the right attitude anyway you'll be fine. Thumbs Up

Right approach, on my mod2 I only actually noticed the examiner when we did stuff like the hill start & pull out from behind a car. Half the time he was so far behind I couldn't see him at all, though I'm damn sure he could see me! I suspect this is deliberate so's he's not breathing down your neck.
