but I can't seem to find it. Help someone?

Someone here posted a link (or image link) of all the bikes that are in different categories, like A1 or A2 or something. Does anything I say make sense? D: Ahhh!

I was always told an RS125 wasn't applicable for the test because of its turning circle?

I believe that the standard version has its wheels just barely close enough together that it's classed as a motor bicycle, and it can be ridden on an A license (or provisional for the 125). How you "put in on the stand" for mod 1 is a puzzler. Wink

There are spacers available to move the wheels out just a little which then magically makes it a trike and it can be ridden - sorry, driven - on a cat B license.

Bru story, tro.

Just looked it up they are 420mm apart as standard and that is close enough to class as a motorbike, that would take absolutely no skill to pass the mod 1.

I've got a soft spot for these bizarre looking things.
When, & if, I'm 80 I'll be wanting one in camo green with 2 machine guns sticking out of the front and a heat seeking rocket launcher at the rear. It would certainly clear the pavements as I head off to the shops to buy 1 small tin of beans. And just imagine Q's mobility scooter! He'd have little blades coming out of the wheels like Boudiceas' chariot. (I don't think I spelt her name right)

I'm assuming they turned the bars at speed rather than leaning. The perils of a vehicle that's neither fish nor fowl.

not quite so true... it falls under cat B1 - light motorcar Smile which you get entitlement to with a car test (i believe B1 is no longer given with motorcycle test?)

same subject...

my bike is on the a2 list... ive only managed to get it to 55 before chickening out (wind etc knocking me about)...

im 130 kg, so might not get my bike up to "speed" of the required 62mph...

what happens on my test if i go on a 70 road and do 50-55mph? in a car i know if you do below 60 on 70 (weather permitting) you would fail for "appropriate use of speed"... but how about on bike test A2?

my bike falls into A2 category. but being 130kg, im a large load for a 125 Razz

Doesn't matter, all they care about is that the bike claims to be capable of 100kph, presumably with some European Standard Homo-Example on it.

Can you get it up to 50mph (well, 48kph) for the stop and swerve tests? 2nd gear, as much speed as you can manage round the bend, wide open throttle, don't look down, don't ease off until you're at the speed trap.

I got a minor in my test for not being able to overtake a lorry going 50mph up a hill on a 70mph dual carriageway.

When i asked him why his answer was, "well you managed 65 going down the hill, so I'm sure you could have taken him".... I passed so I wasn't going to argue. Laughing
