Hello
Bought a new helmet, went for one that flips up at the front. Have no idea of the quality compare to others but I didn't realise how big/wide it is till I got home and had a propper look. Are all flip front helmets as large as this?!

All crash helmets look big on me, I have narrow shoulders which doesn't help. Some are bigger than others, but who cares, biking isn't a fashion parade.
So MTFU. And enjoy riding your bike, since that's what it's all about. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Just ordered a flip face helmet after i smashed my full face.
My brother has a flip face and i actually hate it its just so round and large in comparison to my full face and the weight is about double.
The only reason i ordered one is because im planning on getting an off road bike soon, so i will use this one for a pillion or a spare. |

Small world (internet / forum), I have the same Nitro. Yes, it's effing huge, I assume they use the same XXXXXXL shell for all of the range.
But so's the Caberg Konda (and I assume the new Duke), and I blagged my Nitro for just £50. It has the same features, works fine, and I love being able to do the pre- and post-ride faffing around with it flipped up.
The only minor niggle is that the sun visor could do with going half an inch lower, but again, the Cabergs are the same.
The Nitro is 3* SHARP rated against the Cabergs' 5* ratings, with the difference being side impact protection. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Hi
i brought a £29.99 LS2 on ebay and its a nice helmet and fits nice and snug ,but sure whistles at speeds
i like the pull release system and the vents in the front(one above and below visor)
you even get a bag with it and 4 reflective stickers for it...
plus its nice and light and very comfy as helmets go anyway!
i was thinking of the split helmets but decided on full face standard instead as it would keep those pesky flies out, but boy was i wrong!!
motoring along the other day and a small fly finds its way up past my mouth and up to the visor, and yep you guessed it,right into my bloody eye!!!!
had to open the visor and wind blast the bugger out with alittle finger action thrown in!!
but nice helmet for a budget one anyway.
not sure on getting those type of leathers though as im not into looking like a power ranger, i think a darker version might have been less errrrrrr attractive!

I rode all round Asia with one of these exact Nitro flip-ups as it was cheap enough to regard as a throw away item.
Worked brilliantly for what i needed it for. But yes, it is huge. And its also cheap and nasty.
But I can't believe people riding anything above a scooter would buy one to use in the UK. Invest in a quality lid if you're riding anything bigger than a scooter, you'll appreciate the difference!
