Squeaky brakes

I own a speedfight 100cc

My rear brake has been very squeaky even since i bought the bike (second hand)

I had the bike serviced as it reached 2500 km's, the front brake pads were changed ans some new rollers were put in, but still the squeaky back brake remains there.

Is there any cure for this brake or do i just live with it.

Yeah, my front brake is the same on my Prost.
Only happens when applying the brakes, but its loud enough for people to turn and see what it is.

I would rip the caliper off and clean all the old manky crust out mainly around the pistons, check pads for wear and if ok put a light coating of copper grease on the pad back plate, reassemble and fingers crossed the problem will be cured.

I know jack diddly squat about scoots so I could be talking out of my backside.

If it was wet it could well be that, purchase some brake cleaner (aerosol stuff) and give em a good old clean,

Also check the rear brake pads you could be down too the metal! happend to me once, I was lucky to catch it quickly!

I would also reccomend fitting double H pads to the rear brakes on speedfight (not front brakes rear brakes only) as they have very weak rear brakes, and double H help lots!

i dont think they are worn or they would have got replaced when it was serviced.

I'll try some of that brake cleaner aerosole stuff.

After having a long run on it today, my brake has freed up.
Dunno if it was the dry(er) weather, or just going for a while on it, but its fine now.
