Hi I can't remember the rules, do you have to do theory before mod 1? I was thinkin about doing it straight after cbt on my own 125 after riding a while

Is that the way you did it? Im sure you can do theory before cbt so don't know if yours is the preferred way or if that answered the question

You can do it before CBT and some people prefer to as they can put the theory into practice on CBT. You can't do Mods 1 & 2 without a theory certificate.

It's pretty bizarre that we allow CBT before theory, but there you go. Either way around is fine, both of them expire after 2 years (independently).

As Roger says , That's just the way I did it for me - 30+yrs between riding, followed steps 1-4 & obtained full licence in under 7 weeks. Horses for courses really.
