If they don't like human contact they shouldn't watch tv.

Um, I agree. Creepy worthless jumped up oxygen thief with a microphone, thinking it gives him a license to feel up some people who've actually achieved something (relative to him).

He deserves to get chinned on live telly and told to keep his clammy mitts to himself.

Long gone are the days when the BBC were unemotional robotic reporters. I think its great to see them getting excited about team GB winning gold for the home nations in the home Olympics. Not like it isnt a big deal is it? I mean its first and last thing on the news and its all over the BBC like herpes.

Wonder what they made of the cameras in the commentator box when Denise Lewis was jumping and screaming for Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah?

I've not been watching the games but seriously, people are getting annoyed about hand-on-shouders and patting on the back?

What's wrong with these people?

People don't complain when footballers hug eachother after a goal?

I agree with Pinkfloyd that I think it's great they're getting exciting about it. I also think that patting on the back and such is just another way to say "Well done mate!" rather than just a plain-old interview.

But heh. How English of us to be complaining, and about something so trivial. Mr. Green

"British" footballers are mostly Continentals though. That's how it gets started, with a greasy little finger tickling at the properly clenched sphincter of reserved dignity. Now we've got commentators leg-humping athletes and next thing you know we'll all have to eat croissants three meals a day at our mandatory Hitler Youth meetings you mark my words Mad . <Godwinned>
