I've got a little uneven yard at the back of my house all fenced off and i want to make a shelter to put my bike in and i come across this.

https://www.feelgooduk.net/39-motorbike-motorcycle-cover-bike-home-shelter-garage.html

i was going to get a shed but cant find nothing less than £400...

so sick of traveling 5 miles to get my bike out of my uncles garage >.<

Google turnes up a handful of sheds for under £400 if you put in 10x8

https://www.gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk/Wooden-Sheds/BillyOh-40L-Windowless-Lincoln-Overlap-Apex-Shed

for example. Can't say I've used the company though.

Check the door heights though.

You could build yourself a make-shift shed for the price of that cover over thing...or you could leave your bike where it is, in the safe warm garage, did I mention safe garage...and get over the 5mile distance.

Before I moved back to the sticks, it took me half an hour to drive to the nice safe garage I rented. Exclamation

i had one of them, they are brilliant, so much better than a cover and so easy to just ride in, get off and close it, it'll keep your bike dry, unlike covers, which soak the bike when you take them off lol

I have one of those, it was more pricey but comes from Canada, I didnt notice if the one you show has the metal plate that goes across the bottom to help anchor it but you need to make sure it is anchored properly as I didnt and a 80mph wind ended up with some of the paint rubbed off the fairing on my gsxr one night.. Mine has been used for the past five years and looks a bit shabby on the outside but has protected my bikes brilliantly.

I have that cover, and I put some photos on here a while back:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=238708

Still going strong now, 7months on. If you cant get a shed up, then this is certainly the next best thing I would say.

edit - seems the one you linked to is a newer version. Mine is pretty good, so the improved version should surely be better Thumbs Up

I've been thinking about this. They only show pictures of it on grass right? If this works just as well on concrete feel free to skip this but, if not...

Why use this cover? To protect the bike from the shit loads of rain that England has. You're using this on grass. So when you go out to your bike, assuming you're not a weekend warrior / sun-only guy/bitch, you're going to be treading through shit loads of sodden water and grass, just to have little to no grip either when stood up and moving the bike or sat on the seat and moving it.

This begs the questions - why put your bike on grass at all? I wouldn't!

Of course - if it works on concrete then that's fine Smile Just all the pictures show grass and nothing else. I mean, who parks their bike on grass anyway?

I had one , brilliant , but after about 3 years the fabric went brittle, ended up held together with gaffer tape, still worked out at £50 a year , cheaper by far than renting a garage
