I dunno how it is in Kent, but in Staffordshire:

Everywhere i've tried want's:

A) Your full licence in their hand before you ride off
B) You to be at least 24+
C) Have held the full licence for more than 2 years

so yeh, nobody wants to let me test-ride their 125 Vandero despite the 535 im on now or 4 years riding experience. Too much of a risk i guess

Yeh it's a right pain tbh man.
This is why i settled on a 1990 535 for £500 instead of a 2year old Dragstar 750, 'cos nowhere will let you ride in advance.

I can sort of understand why, but the chances of you binning it on 10 min test ride is pretty unlikely

Laguna in Maidstone have let me test ride many bikes.. nice guys.

As long as you present your licence. Ask to speak to Chris when you get there, he is a sound guy.

Similarly Lagunas in Ashford (the performance one) let me test ride my gixer on a brand new licence, they told me to come back in a couple of hours and "go have fun". I didn't need to hand over my licence but they did ask me to sign their insurance docs that said I was liable for £1000 excess should I bin it.
